"Nice One Zambales!"
anawangin nagsasa capones getaway
Just to give a little hint about the place, these coves seat at the West Coast of North Luzon in San Antonio, Zambales where mountains stood perfectly from day even at night. As of locals that we met here, their way of living here in San Antonio is fishing and tourism. As of our "bangkero", they earn more from tourist like us. "Hindi araw araw maraming turista na nagpupunta dito, kaya kapag walang biyahero na napapadpad samin, pangingisda talaga". Kaya bangkero like them, see to it tourists enjoy their adventure, and never stop on making tourist fall in love with the vicinity.
A shot from Nagsasa Cove, This! Is! What! You Will Get from this trip. WoohooH!!
My first travel plan came up from a conversation with my cousins in one of the family gatherings way back halfway of 2009, when we were watching movie in the bedroom that my cousin shared to us. Asian craft lovers kasi kami. Nausuhan. hehehe. They started asking "oh! saan na tayo sa susunod?".=D Every Christmas-New Year Season kasi, we spend time together on rides in national theme parks, like Star City and Enchanted Kingdom . At that season of the year lang kami lahat free. Now, we're grown ups na, unlike before that we can be together as much as we want. Now, we are now in different worlds, have different schedules and responsibilities lined up for everyday.
Since the day I decided to go with this trip, sinong excited? I only have two weeks to prepare. NYAAAH!!
At dahil first time ko, kumpleto toh noh. It is said that as soon as you get at the camping site, you will feel the simplicity of life. No electricity, No ready-to-order food, no electric or gas stoves, No concrete stay rooms. Just you and your back pack...=D
Since we have to be at the bus station at 4:30 in the morning. My cousin advise me to stay in their house Friday Night palang since mas accessible sa kanila, walang traffic if dun kami manggagaling, plus malelessen ang pagod sa byahe kinabukasan. We arrived sa house nina tita with my buddy mga 9PM na. We eat dinner then prepare to go to sleep mga 10:30PM kasi nga maaga pa kami bukas. 4:00AM palang gising na sina tita, magbreakfast nadaw kami then prepare. Madilim palang, as we went out. From my tita's house, we walk to the main road,we ride on FX going to Katipunan, from there we ride on a taxi cab to the bus station in Cubao. All the way from Cubao to San Antonio Zambales, we ride on a Victory Liner Bus which took us P530 each, back and forth. Almost 6:00AM nagstart ang trip namin.
Stop-over in Dau,Pampanga. We arrived here by 7:45 in the morning, where we of my group eat hot congee for breakfast.
Here we come Anawangin!!!!
San Antonio, ZamBALEs
We've picked up by manong trike going to Pundaquit where we ride on a bangka for our Anawangin.
Saya kahit inaatake na ako ng hunger!!! It's already 11:45AM. Nagpabili na kami ng rice para as we get sa camp site kakain na kagad kami.
eto na toh!
It's my first time to ride...so I don't know the feeling. mas maliit sa Barkong sinasakyan namin when we have our vacation sa province.
"Fear Factor ba ito!" yan ang feeling ko as I got inside. isang malaking dagat! sabi ko nga dapat mag-aral na ako maglangoy???
The Anawangin Cove mountains!
"yiih! manong ambagal natin...bilisan nyo pa. malapit na po ba tayo?"
Manong Bangkero told us that the White Glass Pad at the seaside na nadaanan namin was Manny Pacquiao's property. a Fact. We've never had the chance para makalapit sa Pad nya to know if that really is Manny's House.
Pine Trees grow on cold places...and it's nice seeing them on top of sand rather than Coconut Trees.
Meet our bangkero! Manong Edgar! Celebrity ang level ni manong.
Orange mountains....at Anawangin Cove. medyo crowded parin sa Cove nato like beach resorts sa access road.since mas malapit ito kaysa Nagsasa Cove, mostly family or group of magbabarkada avail this package. For low-budget.
It's cool to be here.Far from worries and stresses. all you have to do was to relax, enjoy and amaze on what the world offers you.
Not that obvious. We've enjoyed the place. Kahit end of Summer days na, antindi parin ng Init ng season. You must not walk sa sand ng barefooted at maglakad lakad dahil para kang pinapaso as what we experienced.
Jump Shot at Anawangin...
I can't hide the joy I felt, maybe because I discover another love of my life...
"Nature Tripping!!!"
sand bridge between small lake and sea...
That shot was from our beach camp and that was the other neighbor beach camp in the
Nagsasa Cove
high tide pa...so be careful sa huge waves never be near the water if you want dry the whole day.
As what I've heard and read about the place, dito nagshoot si Bea Alonzo at Derek Ramsay ng isang scene ng movie nilang "And I Love You So".
"THE ANAWANGIN COVE". Manong Edgar shared that this cove was the second Cove from Pundaquit. You have two options on how to reach to the cove.
Nagsasa Cove! AHOOOH! At the beach camp...
Nagsasa Cove...30 meters far from the shore 3 feet deep...see it yourself!
Where we put up our tent with the help of manong Edgar. Thanks manong for making the demo warm up narin para pag tunay na camping na ito....5 minutes or less
Manong Johnny is said to be the leader of the bangkeros in San Antonio, Zambales.
One of the most popular bangkero of the town and he is my cousin's contact for this trip. Well, you can avail this kind of trip and send your inquiries to Manong Johnny (09202224687).
The following are the must-haves for this get-away: comfortable suits and footwear, medicines and first aid kit, mosquito repellant , lighter, flashlight, can opener, can goods, xempre di mawawala ang dried fruits para sa mga layas at di marunong magluto, at magpaapoy ng "gatong", this is how you call dried branches of trees use to make fire, water for drinking enough for your 2 days and 1 night trip and packed viands which can live long even if not refrigerated.
Would you believe? that two weeks before this trip, nag-backout ako without knowing what the world offers me na binabalewala ko and what would I miss if natuloy akong mag-backout. eh pano ang babaita, nanghihinayang sa money to spend with the trip. Buti nalang kinulit kulit ako ng pinsang kong maganda at nagsuggest sya na i-check ko ang mga sites na yun sa internet. Hindi kayo maniniwala that my love in travel starts here at this very moment. Nagshift na kagad ako, that money na pinagpapaguran ko, came from my own sweat and hardwork, Is worth spending for this kind of addiction! how you will call it!
This is a must have trip for every travel enthusiast out there. One of the best of North!
